Event's DetailsJeffrey Dell uses traditional and experimental methods in screen printing to create playful illusionary spaces defined by deftly constructed layering systems. Dell’s work responds to and elicits desire, appetite, impulse and deception. He utilizes trompe l’oeil strategies and pushes the boundaries of what a two-dimensional print can project in an effort to replicate the basic human pleasure of experiencing space.
Dell is a printmaker and Professor at Texas State University, San Marcos, TX. He earned his BA from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN and his MFA from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. Dell is represented by Art Palace Gallery, Houston, TX and has exhibited widely at Galleri Urbane, Dallas, TX; Art Palace, Houston, TX; Leipzig International Art Programme, Leipzig, Germany; and International Print Center New York, New York, NY.
